Zone and Stake Conferences

We have had a very spiritually uplifting week. We had our Zone Conference on Wednesday.  This was our Mission President's last Zone Conference before he leaves in two weeks.  We look forward to meeting our new Mission President, President Woods (from Mesa, Arizona).  It was great to see so many of our former missionaries who have moved to other areas in the mission.  We have grown to love each one of them for their unique personalities.

Saturday and Sunday we had an outstanding Stake Conference.  The theme was on Strengthening Families and each speaker did a wonderful job. It was great to actually understand the entire talk, even all of the stories.

One of the great things that has happened this week is with Carlos and Elena Diaz.  We've been working with them since our arrival here in September, they are from Chile.  Carlos was ordained an Elder yesterday!  This is wonderful since we are trying to work closely with them to go to the temple in September.

Our health is getting much better everyday.  It's extremely hot here, actually it feels much hotter than in Arizona with the high humidity. They have what is called a "feels like" temperature and it's usually 10 degrees hotter than the regular temperature due to the humidity.
