We went to the Diaz home to visit and while we were there Sister Diaz gave me a lesson on how to make Panqueques. They are a cross between a pancake and a crepe. Who would've known that I'd come to Louisiana to learn to make crepes from someone from Chile.
Anyways, they were easy to make and very good. They serve them with "Dulce de Leche" spread over them like butter and rolled up. The Dulce de Leche comes in a can similar to condensed milk, but spreads like peanut butter and has a rich caramel taste. Yummy.
