We spent a few hours helping Brother Zavala with his immigration test this week. He's learning, but is still very difficult to understand. One day when we left their house and we were saying goodbye, he said "Don't speak to me in Spanish". It was very funny, especially since we are both trying so hard to learn Spanish. We are both relearning our U.S. Government lessons from high school. It's amazing how much they must know in order to become a citizen. Some of the questions even appear to be trick questions. Like "What is the United States Capitol?" The correct answer is "The place where Congress meets." No, the correct answer is not "Washington, D.C." That's the answer to "Where is the United States Capitol?"

We have made a lot more Priesthood Directed visits this week and were blessed to see three of those families attend church on Sunday. We know that they aren't getting visiting teaching or very much home teaching done. (Some of the Home Teaching companionships have 13 families to visit.) We have both been baking cookies and they love it. Thank heavens for the premixed cookie dough from Sam's Club.
