Feliz Navidad

This Christmas season brought a bag of mixed feelings.  The joy of celebrating the birth of our Saviour is incomparable to any other time of year.  We enjoyed many of the same traditions as in years past: 12 Days of Christmas, baking cookies, singing carols, decorating a tree and wrapping/giving gifts. We missed our family immensely, especially the squeals of grandchildren as they opened gifts or got caught sneaking another Christmas cookie.  We missed playing games with our family, but we were able to play "Apples to Apples" with some missionaries while they did laundry at our house on Christmas Day.  We spent Christmas Eve and had Christmas dinner with our Bishop's family.  They are truly wonderful and we love them.

We are looking forward to the second week in January, as we have General Authorities coming to visit.  On January 10th Elder Neuenschwander will be here for a Mission Tour and then on January 12-13th Elder Uchtdorf from the Quorum of the Twelve will be here for our Stake Conference.

We are extremely grateful for our families and pray for each of you daily.  May the Lord continue to bless you with peace and comfort, but especially with his spirit to guide you.
