LA without a GPS

We have been in California since the 13th and we are busy at the office or working at home most of the time.  We have truly enjoyed going to our own ward and have been given the opportunity to speak in Sacrament meeting on Sunday on Missionary Work.  Of course, this is our favorite topic.

Today was my day to run errands, so Don's mom let me use her car.  Unfortunately, my brain doesn't remember things very well anymore and I had to ask her to help me make a map.  She helped me write down the streets and where Walmart, Costco, the fabric store and the grocery store were.  It was pretty fun and I was recognizing where I was, until I was driving home and drove right by the turn and had to go around the block. The worst part is that Don and I walk this same street twice a day during our daily walks.

Elder and Sister Lake - How wonderful ya'll went on a mission, Awesome!! My sister (Suzanne Sammons Platt) lives in Texarkana and we had wanted to go to Louisiana, but then just before we went Katrina struck and we didn't get to go. I know her ward a few months back went back into the Bayous and helped out with everyday things those wonderful people needed. They were so thrilled to help and to show that we as Latter Day Saints aren't the negative they've been shown to be.

Happy Thanksgiving to you and your family.
