Mississippi River

Monday, Preparation Day and Play Day. We went down to the French Quarter to see the river. This is a picture of the bridge that goes to the other side of New Orleans called the West Bank. We were hoping to find someone that Elder Lake could speak French with, but we didn't come upon anyone speaking French or Spanish for that matter. It was a very old part of town and all they had were bars and T-Shirt shops. Very touristy. Not what we like, that's for sure. We did get a nice walk along the Mississippi River and that was fun.

Brings new meaning to the scripture that says man may as well put out his puny arm and try to stop the mississippi than to stop God from pouring out blessings on the saints!
